We make our Smoked Scamorza with fresh pasteurised cow's milk, supplied to us by local dairy farmers. This is an aged mozzarella, which means the Scamorza has a firmer texture and slightly stronger taste.
We take the mozzarella balls and hang them in our cheese store to age, this is what gives these Scamorza balls their iconic shape! Once the Scamorza is aged we then smoke it to get it a deep smokey taste.
It is perfect for melting on pizzas, toasties or on top of pasta dishes!
