These soaps are made in Syria, Aleppo or its region, using ancient traditions and techniques. Soap factories developed in Aleppo in the 7th and 8th centuries using local olive oil and bay laurel oil to make the first hard soaps in the world. The soap is manually cut, dried and turned in outdoor areas sheltered from the sun for a minimum of 9 months. The % references the percentage of pure laurel oil in the soap. Very gentle, it can be used in daily cleansing for the body as well as the face and hair.
